MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mike Conley will be protecting his face with a new mask Saturday night against Golden State, needing a more snug fit with the swelling easing in the Grizzlies guard’s left cheek.

Conley tested the new mask Saturday morning at shoot around, and he says this one has a tighter fit.

The guard scored 22 points in leading the Grizzlies to a 97-90 win Tuesday night and tying their Western Conference semifinal at 1-1.

He says needing a new mask is a good sign because he’s tired of looking in the mirror at a split-faced man.

"Man, I got a broken face and I’m playing," Conley said. "That’s all I’m worried about."
