Huge crowd greets LaVar Ball and sons upon arrival in Lithuania

For all his talk, LaVar Ball still finds a way to back some of it up.

After pulling his 19-year-old son LiAngelo Ball from UCLA, LaVar got both LiAngelo and 16-year-old LaMelo to sign one-year deals with Lithuanian basketball club Prienu Vytautas.

Vytautas, also known as BC Prienai, plays in the Lithuanian Basketball League domestically and also competes in the Baltic Basketball League every year.

LiAngelo was a freshman with the Bruins, but was indefinitely suspended by the team after a shoplifting incident in China Рa direct violation of the university’s student code of conduct against theft.

LaVar believes that this step is the best way to prepare his middle son for the NBA Draft, and with LaMelo’s basketball future far more uncertain, LaVar set them up as a package deal so that his youngest wouldn’t get left behind.

On Wednesday, the trio arrived arrived at Vilnius airport in the capital city of Lithuania with a massive crowd on hand to greet them.

The attention is hysterical, to say the least, with the Lithuanians going out of their way to welcome their American guests. ESPN’s Jeff Goodman tweeted images of the crazy scenes, a Lithuanian singer who came to perform upon their arrival, and the CEO of Skycop.com, the site that paid for the Ball family’s flight from Los Angeles to Vilnius.
