As a former member of the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors guard Cory Joseph is no stranger to the biggest stage.

Joseph joined Sportsnet 590 the FAN’s Dean Blundell & Co. on Thursday morning ahead of the Raptors’ game against the Orlando Magic from London, England. Even though it’s technically a regular-season matchup, it has the feel of something larger, the Toronto point guard said.

“It’s a little different because there are a little more distractions with all the hype leading up. It’s like a playoff game with all the media, so you really have to focus on what you came here to do and focus on the game plan. That’s what we’re trying to and go out there and get a win because this is a big game for us.”

Both teams have a lot on the line as Toronto enters the tilt sitting in second place in the Eastern Conference with a 24-15 record. The young and improving Magic squad currently occupies the East’s final playoff spot. Orlando emerged victorious last time these teams met in early November, handing the Raptors their first loss of the season.

Joseph goes on to discuss how he is adjusting to the time change and London food as well as what the feeling is like around the city. You can listen to the full interview here.

The game will be available live in 4K on Sportsnet East, Ontario, West, Pacific and ONE at 3:00 p.m. ET.
