Kevin Durant appears to use alternate account to rip Thunder coach

Tim and Sid look at Kevin Durant's bizarre tweets defending himself for leaving OKC, with all the evidence pointing to him mixing up Twitter accounts.

Kevin Durant is no stranger to taking shots on Twitter.

But firing back at fans with a fake account? That’s something new.

As Twitter user @harrisonmc15 so industriously discovered, it would appear the Golden State Warriors superstar was caught defending his decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder in the summer 2016 to chase rings with the Dubs.

Looking at the screen-grabbed tweets above, Durant is responding to a tweet a fan asked him as if he wasn’t directly replying, using the words “he didn’t” and “KD can’t win.”

This implies that Durant was trying to use an alternate Twitter account he has access to but forgot to switch to it when making the reply.

Busted … maybe.

The alleged Durant tweets appear to have been deleted so it’s hard to corroborate this, but a celebrity using an alt-account isn’t that uncommon so there’s meat on this bone. Noteworthy, in particular, was the mention of Thunder coach Billy Donovan — who coached Durant in his final season in OKC — and the statement of not enjoying playing for him.

If anything, it makes for great fan discussion fodder as we inch our way towards the start of NBA training camps opening.
