Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball won’t play in Monday night’s Summer League final against the Portland Trail Blazers due to a calf strain in his right leg.

The No. 2 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft suffered the injury during Sunday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks. Ball left in the third quarter of their semifinal matchup after posting 16 points and 10 assists in a winning effort.

The Lakers won their last game when Ball sat due to injury, beating the Sacramento Kings earlier in the month. His latest injury is still a tough blow for Los Angeles, after seeing Ball excel throughout their five-game winning streak while creating headlines every time he put on a different pair of sneakers.

The Lakers will look to win without Ball when they go up against the Trail Blazers at 10 p.m. ET.
