DeMar DeRozan‘s 30-point performance on Sunday night not only propelled the Toronto Raptors into the second round of the NBA playoffs, it also attracted the attention of an NBA legend.
Following DeRozan’s Game 7 performance, Magic Johnson declared that the two-time all-star is a player the Los Angeles Lakers should target this off-season.
The 26-year-old has roots in southern California growing up in Compton and attending USC, and has been linked to the Lakers in the past. Expected to opt out of his contract, DeRozan is likely to hit free agency after a season in which he set a career high in points per game with 23.5.
