Michael Jordan was asked if LeBron James had passed Kobe Bryant among the all-time greatest players in NBA history. Jordan’s simple answer? “No.”
Jordan was speaking at his Flight School Camp in Santa Barbara, Calif., where he was asked by a camper if he thought James ranked ahead of Bryant all time. His answer cut straight to the point.
“Would I rank LeBron over Kobe, best of all time? No. It’s something about five that beats three. Now he (James) might be mad with me now but Kobe won five championships.”
The Hall of Famer did say that LeBron’s seven straight NBA Finals appearances are impressive, but still ranked Bryant ahead of James, despite LeBron’s lead in MVPs (four to Bryant’s one).
Jordan was also asked if he was better than Bryant. The six-time NBA champ compared the Lakers legend to a little brother, and with a smirk gave himself the edge, joking that Kobe stole all of his moves.
Along with offering his opinion on basketball, Jordan shared his musical interests, revealing that Drake was his favourite artist.
