‘NBA 2K’ sim gives nod to Cavaliers over Warriors again this season

TORONTO — The Cleveland Cavaliers edge the Golden State Warriors for the NBA title for a second straight year, according to a video game simulation of the season.

In the "NBA 2K17" simulation, the NBA final goes to seven games before the Cavaliers dispatch the Warriors.

Both teams win their respective conferences.

Cleveland advances in the playoffs by beating Detroit in seven games, Indiana in five and Chicago in six. Golden State beats Oklahoma City in four, Portland in five and San Antonio in five.

Toronto finishes fifth in the East in the simulation, losing to Indiana in the first round of the playoffs in seven games.

Cleveland’s LeBron James gets the nod as league MVP.

The game has Phoenix’s Brandon Knight getting the Sixth Man Of The Year Award while DeAndre Jordan of the Clippers wins the Defensive Player of the Year award. Atlanta’s Dennis Schroder earns the Most Improved Player Award.
