NBA players are not happy about the Memphis Grizzlies’ decision to fire head coach David Fizdale.

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade know Fizdale well from their time in Miami where he was an assistant coach alongside Erik Spoelstra, and were the first to voice their displeasure.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith gave his two cents on the matter, agreeing with the two future Hall-of-Famers.

More players chimed in after, including former Toronto Raptors great Vince Carter, who played under Fizdale for Memphis last season.

David Fizdale earned himself a reputation as a player’s coach during his time in Miami, where he was a sounding board for Spoelstra while ensuring communication with players was managed as smoothly as possible. It’s no surprise, now, to see the players have his back.
