Oakley: ‘He better not be in the same room as me’

Retired NBA forward Charles Oakley and New York Knicks owner James Dolan have had beef for years, stemming from disagreements in Oakley’s playing days. But it would appear that it’s reached a boiling point. At least that’s what Oak said.

The 19-year veteran, who spent 10 seasons playing for Dolan’s Knicks in the ’90s, didn’t exactly mince words during his appearance this week on Free Association– Sportsnet’s weekly Raptors & NBA podcast.

When asked about the feud — more specifically “What’s the deal with [Dolan]?” — Oakley said: “I don’t know, man. The man wouldn’t shake my hand at the All-Star game.” He went on to criticize Dolan’s music (and rightfully so), and acknowledged that the feud won’t be over anytime soon, before saying: “He better not be in the same room as me.”

Oak also dropped a wicked burn with an analogy involving hot water and a bag of green tea. Take a listen for yourself below, and hit that subscribe button while you’re at it:
