Paul George blockbuster blows roof off NBA Twitter

In the crazy lead-up to NBA free agency, Paul George was shipped from the Pacers to the Thunder and Blake Griffin signed a five-year contract with the Clippers.

With the NBA world bracing itself for the official opening of free agency on July 1, the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder decided to steal some headlines Friday night.

Superstar Paul George finds himself as the newest member of the Thunder with Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis heading to Indiana. The trade appears to be one-sided in favour of Oklahoma City, which has helped spawn some Twitter gold.

Here is some of the best reaction from the blockbuster deal.

The George deal wasn’t the only major piece of news to surface Friday. Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers reportedly agreed to a five-year max deal minutes before the Pacers-Thunder news broke. Social media poked some fun at the timing.
