New Orleans Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry says forward Anthony Davis and centre Omer Asik are both ready to return to the lineup Friday night against the San Antonio Spurs.

Davis injured his left shoulder in the first quarter Tuesday night in a loss to Denver and sat out Wednesday night in a loss at Oklahoma City that dropped the Pelicans to 1-11.

Asik missed the two games because of a stomach illness.

New Orleans is still without guards Tyreke Evans and Norris Cole, forward Quincy Pondexter and reserve centre Kendrick Perkins. Gentry says he’s confident Evans will return by next week.
