Popovich punks reporter & more from NBA Media Day

Popovich had some interesting comments for Raptors coach Dwane Casey on Saturday.

The NBA is back. Well, sort of.

On Monday, 26 NBA teams met with the media for the first time this season and there were plenty of highlights across the league.

Easily, our favourite moment of the day was San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich pulling a fast one on a television reporter. In classic Popovich fashion, he played off his disdain for doing interviews and showed a pretty sharp sense of humor in punking the reporter.

Even No. 1 overall pick Karl Anthony-Towns showed off a pretty good comedic side.

The NBA has such a fantastic collection of characters so here’s some of the best tweets, pictures, Vines, and videos from Monday’s media day.

And for some people, some of the highlights include new hairdos.

I’m not sure what the context is quite here, but it’s quite apparent Kevin Garnett is tired of hearing Sam Mitchell’s Toronto stories.

However, we’re not sure what this is.
