The Toronto Raptors have agreed to terms with free agent guard K.J. McDaniels. The move was announced by his agent Andy Miller and his firm ASM Sports Thursday.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports the deal is partially guaranteed for one year.
The Raptors will be McDaniels’ fourth team in his three-season NBA career. He was originally selected in the second round, 32nd overall, by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2014, but was traded midway through the 2014-15 season to the Houston Rockets who then proceeded to deal him to the Brooklyn Nets in February this year after only a season and a half.
Through 148 career NBA games played, the 24-year-old is averaging 5.3 points per contest on 41.2 per cent shooting. He was drafted after a successful junior season at Clemson where he was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year mainly for his uncommon shot-blocking and rebounding ability as a guard.
McDaniels is just the latest Miller client to join the Raptors. He also represents Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka.
