Toronto Raptors are looking to host the 2016 NBA All-Star Game.
According to the Toronto Star, Maple Leaf Sports and the Raptors have already begun the process of submitting an official bid to bring the NBA All-Star Game to an international venue for the first time ever.
The 2014 weekend is scheduled for New Orleans and deputy commissioner Adam Silver said the 2015 event is likely headed to either the Knicks’ Madison Square Garden or the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
NBA Commissioner David Stern is in the midst of his last all-star weekend as he is set to retire in 2014. Silver will be his successor.
The Raptors have never hosted the all-star game.
