Toronto Raptors forward Serge Ibaka and the Miami Heat’s James Johnson have each been suspended one game by the NBA for throwing punches at one another on Tuesday night.
The league has also fined DeMar DeRozan $25,000 and Goran Dragic $10,000 for a separate altercation at the end of the game.
Ibaka and Johnson got into it midway through the third quarter of Tuesday night’s game. The two were battling for position during an inbounds play when both lost their cools, starting with a forearm shove from Ibaka and straight right from Johnson that the Raptors big man took on the chin.
Both were ejected from the game after officials separated them.
The incident between DeRozan and Dragic occurred shortly after the final buzzer when the pair were seen jawing at each other near half court. The Heat guard appeared to say something to upset the Raptors all-star, leading DeRozan to shove Dragic before teammates and team officials came between the two to break up the potential tussle.
