The Toronto Raptors won’t be bringing back Vince Carter for the playoff run.
Sportsnet’s Michael Grange has confirmed a previous report that the Raptors have moved on from Carter for the time being, but still have interest in a potential reunion in the future.
Carter is currently under contract with the Kings, but is a buyout candidate as Sacramento continues its path toward the draft lottery.
The 41-year-old Carter is averaging five points per game this season. He spent the first six-and-a-half years of his career with the Raptors, playing an instrumental role in growing the sport’s popularity in Canada.
