The Toronto Raptors announced that centre Lucas Nogueira sustained a muscle tear in his right calf and will be unavailable for Friday’s home game against the Indiana Pacers.

He sustained the injury during Wednesday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets, and was able to go to the locker room without assistance.

After a positive start to the year, Nogueira has fallen behind Jakob Poeltl in the bench rotation. He’s in the final year of his contract and averaging 3.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 12 minutes per game.
