According to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers are working on a blockbuster deal that would see veteran centre Kevin Garnett and head coach Doc Rivers go to the Clippers.
It’s being reported that Los Angeles is packaging DeAndre Jordan and two first-round picks for Garnett and the right to hire Rivers as its head coach.
The Clippers’ unwillingness to include point guard Eric Bledsoe in a deal has reportedly held up the trade.
To make this deal happen, Wojnarowski also first reported that Garnett would waive his no-trade clause.
Garnett averaged 14.8 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game in 68 games played for the Celtics last season.
