The Memphis Grizzlies have signed Mississauga, Ont., native Dillon Brooks to a three-year rookie contract, according to The Vertical’s Shams Charania.

Brooks was drafted by the Houston Rockets with the 45th-overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft, before being immediately acquired by Memphis for a future second-round pick.

The Canadian forward was named the Pac-12 player of the year in 2016-17 after averaging 16.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists for the Oregon Ducks. He was the first Canadian selected in the 2017 draft.
