After all the buzz, the Chicago Bulls made a minor move before the trade deadline.
According to a report for Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com, the Bulls dealt veteran guard Kirk Hinrich to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for a draft pick.
Hinrich, 35, is in the final year of his contract and is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season.
The Kansas product contributed very little this season, averaging 3.8 points and 1.7 assists per game in 35 games with the Bulls.
He is the Bulls’ all-time franchise leader in three-pointers made and ranks in the top-five in games played and assists.
From the Chicago perspective, the trade of Hinrich is primarily a salary dump.
