Injured Chicago Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo will attempt to play in Game 5 against the Boston Celtics Wednesday, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.
Rondo is looking to get back in the lineup despite having suffered a broken thumb on his right hand that has kept him sidelined in the Bulls’ last two games.
The 31-year-old was very effective for Chicago before going down, averaging 11.5 points, 10.0 assists and 8.5 rebounds per game, including a 11-point, 14-assist, nine-rebound, five-steal gem in Game 2.
Chicago won both games with Rondo in the lineup and lost the two without him.
