Former Texas point guard Myck Kabongo has switched agents, moving from Rich Paul to Bill Duffy, according to the Toronto Sun’s Ryan Wolstat.

Paul does not have a long client list but it includes a pair of Canadians (and former Longhorns), Tristan Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cory Joseph of the San Antonio Spurs, as well as LeBron James. The agent is one of the Miami Heat star’s closest friends.

Kabongo went undrafted after leaving Texas following a turbulent sophomore season in which he played just 11 games because of suspension. The NCAA sidelined him after it was discovered that he “accepted airfare, accepted airfare, personal training instruction and then provided false and misleading information during two separate interviews with university officials.”

That personal training was provided by Jerry Powell, a trainer who works for Paul.

Duffy also has a Canadian connection as he represents Basketball Canada general manager Steve Nash. Among other notable clients are Chicago Bulls centre Joakim Noah and Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo.
