The question has been posed and mulled over since Kobe Bryant’s retirement after the 2015-16 NBA season: Which number will the Los Angeles Lakers retire, No. 8 or No. 24?

The answer is reportedly both.

Bryant began his career sporting No. 8, winning three titles during that span. He decided to change to No. 24 ahead of the 2006-07 season, winning two more championships with his new digits.

The 18-time all-star is the Lakers’ franchise leader in a plethora of categories, including points scored, games played, steals and win shares.

Los Angeles will reportedly hold the jersey retirement ceremony on Dec. 18 before their matchup with the Golden State Warriors.
