Anthony Bennett has a new NBA gig.
According to a report from Shams Charania of TheVertical.com, Bennett reached agreement on a two-year minimum deal with the Brooklyn Nets.
The Canadian forward has struggled to find an NBA home after being selected No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2013 NBA Draft.
Bennett, 23, spent a portion of the 2015-16 season with the Toronto Raptors, where he struggled to find consistent playing time and averaged just 1.5 points and 1.2 rebounds in 19 games. He spent significant time last year with Raptors 905, Toronto’s D-League affiliate before he was waived mid-season in order to make room for forward Jason Thompson.
Brooklyn will be his fourth team over his three-year career since coming out of UNLV.
