HOUSTON — The Houston Rockets have dealt forward/centre Donatas Motiejunas and guard Marcus Thornton to Detroit in a three-team trade that also includes Philadelphia.

Houston received a protected 2016 first-round pick from Detroit and the draft rights of forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum from the Sixers in the deal. The Rockets also sent Denver’s second-round pick in 2017 to Philadelphia and the Sixers received centre Joel Anthony from the Pistons.

Thornton appeared in 47 games for Houston this season, averaging 10 points and 2.4 rebounds.

Motiejunas started 62 games for the Rockets last season, but has appeared in just 14 games this season after off-season back surgery.
