The Toronto Raptors have held exploratory talks with the Clippers centered around a deal that would send DeMar DeRozan home to Los Angeles, according to ESPN’s Marc Stein.
The Raptors are said to be interested in acquiring young point guard Eric Bledsoe from Los Angeles who is in demand from around the NBA after having a solid sophomore season. Bledoe is stuck behind star point guard Chris Paul and is believed to be ready for a larger role, be it in Los Angeles or somewhere else.
Toronto would hope to shed much-maligned forward Andrea Bargnani in the potential deal. The thought of taking on Bargnani doesn’t seem to be scaring off the Clippers, who are looking for a stretch four to help space out their offence.
The Orlando Magic have also been linked to a deal for a few days which would see Aaron Afflalo head to Los Angeles in exchange for Bledsoe.
