Toronto Raptors starting point guard Kyle Lowry has sat out the past three games with a bruised tailbone but will be in the starting lineup Monday afternoon when his team visits the Philadelphia 76ers, as first reported by Sixers beat reporter Keith Pompey.

Less than an hour before tip-off, the team confirmed Lowry will start.

The 31-year-old suffered his injury in a victory over the Brooklyn Nets one week ago and missed contests against the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.

Lowry is averaging 16.2 points, 7.0 assists and 6.1 rebounds per games in 38 starts so far this season.

Lowry is from Philadelphia and attended Villanova University.

On Sunday it was announced Lowry will be making a $1-million donation to his alma mater and as a thank you the school will rename its men’s basketball locker room the “Kyle Lowry Men’s Basketball Locker Room.”
