MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed Serbian centre Miroslav Radulijica to a 10-day contract to beef up their front line.
The Wolves announced the signing on Thursday. Radulijica spent last season with the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 48 games.
The Timberwolves needed another centre because Nikola Pekovic has missed most of the season with chronic pain in his right ankle. Pekovic participated in light contact drills this week, but it’s not certain when he’ll return to the court.
Radulijica played 14 games for Shangdong in the Chinese Basketball Association before returning to the NBA with the Wolves.
Radulijica is expected to be available to play at Milwaukee on Friday night.
