Ranked sixth on ESPN’s Top 100 college prospects list, the six-foot-nine, 200-pound power forward is known for his unique playmaking ability at the position, and prefers to face-up rather than mix it up inside.
His former high school, Vermont Academy, also tweeted their congratulations.
He’s a Commodore! Congratulations to Simisola Shittu ‘18 (@LanX_Sims). Go VA! pic.twitter.com/4D21FcZkYl

This past summer, Shittu elected to skip Canada’s gold medal run at the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup in favour of the NBA Top 100 camp. With R.J. Barrett having declared for Duke earlier this month, and Abu Kigab playing for Oregon, there is plenty to keep an eye on for Canadians on the NCAA basketball stage next year.
