Trending: Anderson loses tooth against Nets

The game wasn’t the only thing the Raptors lost Tuesday night against the Brooklyn Nets.

Alan Anderson had a tooth knocked out of his mouth in the third quarter by Nets centre Brook Lopez.

Understandably, Anderson left the game to get his tooth (or lack thereof) repaired.

Not so understandably, the Raptors forward didn’t return to try and help get his team an important win against a division opponent.

In a season in which Amir Johnson has played multiple games while injured, including Sunday’s embarrassing loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, Anderson’s injury seems pretty minor.

Just ask Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Duncan Keith who had seven teeth knocked out in May 2010, including one stuck in the back of his throat, only to return seven minutes later.

“It’s just missing teeth,” Keith said after the game. “It’s a long way from the heart.”
