Warriors sign McAdoo for remainder of season

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Golden State Warriors have signed forward James Michael McAdoo for the remainder of the season.

The team announced the move Thursday shortly after the NBA trading deadline passed. The Warriors, a league-best 42-9, made no deals at the deadline.

The 22-year-old McAdoo has played in four games with Golden State this season, averaging 3.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in five minutes. He signed a 10-day contract with the Warriors on Jan. 19 and another 10-day contract with the team Feb. 2.

The undrafted rookie out of North Carolina has played in 26 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League this season, averaging 19.3 points, 9.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.12 steals and 2.31 blocks while shooting 57.8 per cent.
