Birthplace:

Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

Birthdate:

February 13, 1974

First media job:

Radio DJ in Rosetown, Saskatchewan

Career highlight:

I have many highlights in my career including covering Tiger Woods win at the 2002 US Open just before they were about to call it due to darkness at Bethpage Black. It's easy to tell in pictures or video that it was the '02 US Open because the photographers needed to use their flashbulbs due to the darkness.

Special interests/hobbies:

Working out, playing and watching all sports, reading, watching movies

Bio: I, like a lot of Canadian boys, had dreams of playing in the NHL. I took that dream all the way to junior hockey before realizing a professional career "on the ice" wasn't for me. I also played a lot of baseball and was maybe more talented in that sport, following in the footsteps of my grandfather, Peter Prediger, who is a member of the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame for his baseball skills. I played until the end of high school, when a summer job became more important. That job was at Moonlake Golf Course in Saskatoon.

I also played a lot of tennis, so growing up in the lovely province of Saskatchewan allowed me to experience a variety of sports, which ultimately has led me to where I am today. My media career was spurred by my father, Rodger, who is also in the business. It was like having a personal tutor when I first started, which was terrific for someone who was just learning.
I started in 1995 at a radio station in Rosetown Saskatchewan. I soon became the play-by-play voice of the Kindersley Klippers of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. I then moved to Saskatoon to work at CJWW/HOT 93 radio stations. I was a news and sports reporter, and also did the broadcasts of the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL. In 1998 I moved to television. I was hired as a reporter/anchor at Global TV in Saskatoon, but shortly after was promoted to Sports Director. In September of 2000, Sportsnet came calling, and I answered. It's a great group of people to work with and I am doing what I always wanted to do...have a job that's not work.

I get to go to work because I "want" to, not because I "have" to.
