Birthplace:
When the music dream died I decided to get into radio. After a two-year course at Humber College I was lucky enough to get a job with The Fan just as they were getting ready to launch. It was an entry level position, but I worked hard, agreed to do anything they asked, and nine years later found myself being the host of the Raptors pre and post game shows.
In the spring of 2001, The Team Radio network launched. I left the Fan and started a new venture. Unfortunately, The Team closed shop after just 15 months, but during that time I began working with "Raptors TV" and "CITY TV". Two and a half weeks after losing my job at The Team, I landed here at Sportsnet, working as the Leafs beat reporter, where I covered 80 of 82 regular season games plus a brief playoff run in 2004.
These days you can see me on the Blue Jays pre and post game shows, as well as the Raptors beat, a little bit of Argos, and last but not least, covering the Leafs.
Hialeah, Florida
Birthdate:January 8, 1968
First media job:1992 - The Fan Radio, Toronto Ontario.
Career highlight:I've had the pleasure of covering some pretty amazing events over the years but here are some of the highlights: Covering the Blue Jays in 92 and 93 while at the Fan590 and seeing Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar at his peak; The Leafs playoff runs in 93 and 94. As close as they've come to a Cup Final in my lifetime; Covering the final game at Maple Leaf Gardens Feb 13, 1999; Covering the World Series for Rogers Sportsnet in 2007, 2008 and 2010; Covering Vince Carter back when the City of Toronto loved him; The NBA Finals in 2004, 2005 and especially 2011
Bio: Don't let the fact I was born in Florida fool you! I moved to Ontario with my family when I was three years old and grew up a "True Canadian". I was a huge Leaf fan and dreamed of being the next Mike Palmateer. While hockey was my favourite sport, I quickly fell in love with the Blue Jays when they were born in 1977. Skipping school to get down to Exhibition Stadium was a practice I would continue through my teenage years. Aside from sports, I also have a love for music and played bass, and I sang in a "long haired" rock band throughout my high school days and into my early 20's.When the music dream died I decided to get into radio.
