Prior to joining Sportsnet in 2007, Osmak spent 2 years at KYMA in Yuma, Arizona, where she held a number of positions including morning anchor, news reporter and sports reporter. While at KYMA, she covered every thing from illegal immigration, the impact of the military bases as well as high school football, also known as 'Friday Night Lights'. Not only was it Osmak's first time visiting the Desert Southwest, but also her first television job. She began her broadcasting career in radio at JACK-FM in Orillia, Ontario as a news reporter.
Osmak received a diploma in Radio and Television Broadcasting from Seneca College and York University. But a path towards media was not always in the plan. After graduating from Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario, Osmak earned her Civil Engineering degree from Queen's University. She spent 2 years working as an engineer at consulting firm before pursuing broadcasting. Osmak is also very involved in Special Olympics Ontario and Canada. She was born in New Jersey, but raised in Oakville, Ontario.
One of the highlights of Osmak's career was working at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. It was a unique experience and a thrill to be part of one of the greatest sports moments in Canada's history.
