Bio:

Growing up in Alberta I always wanted to be a sportscaster. As a young boy I idolized the likes of Howard Cosell, who I found to be one of the most engaging individuals in sports. When I came to the earth-shattering conclusion that I would not be making millions of dollars as a professional athlete, I turned my focus to covering sports.

Although working in the sports media is not the only thing I do, it is where I receive a great deal of satisfaction. In the 14 years I have been working in the industry, I can honestly say that there are very few days I can remember not wanting to get up and go to work. It's a great way to earn a living and an even better way to live your life.

The opportunity to work with Sportsnet is one that I am extremely excited about. A special thanks goes out to the Oilers organization who I have worked with for the past three seasons.

Despite the travel often associated with my job, my wife Karen has always been more than supportive, encouraging me to follow my dreams and pursue a career path, which she knew I would enjoy. Through a hectic work schedule, my family is my number one priority. My two young children - son Francesco and daughter Izabella - along with my wife, are the most important parts of my life.
