The Roberto Luongo situation is obviously out there for EVERYONE to see. Fans, media members, GM’s around the league, even turtles in Southeast Asia know that the Vancouver Canucks goalie has been on the trade block for nearly a year now.
With this in mind, it would be interesting to know what type of offers Canucks GM Mike Gillis had for his goaltender over the past week and NO, I don’t mean Mr. Luongo, I’m referring to the current number one guy in Vancouver, Cory Schneider.

Let’s face it, NHL general managers would not look out of place flying around with a colony of vultures as they circled above a dying man in the Sahara Desert and for the past few months, Mike Gillis might have been viewed as that dying man.
Obviously the other 29 GM’s in the league know by now that Gillis isn’t going to give Luongo away, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone to think that a few of these “colonists” might have been kicking the tires on the “other guy”.
Sportsnet wants to hear from you.
If Gillis decided to hold on to Roberto Luongo what kind of a return should Gillis expect in return for Schneider AND, is this an option that you believe Gillis should consider?
