Welcome to Soccer Central: Ask the Insiders where fans get to pick the topics. This week, Gerry Dobson answered fan questions on what the atmosphere will be like at the Rogers Centre for Toronto FC’s home opener this weekend; what his favorite Ryan Giggs moment is from his first 1,000 games; and what consequences will Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger do not make Champions League for the first time since 1997.

Steven asks: What kind of atmosphere can we expect indoors at the Rogers Centre this weekend for the Toronto FC opener?

Gerry Dobson: If you think it will be as good as it was for the CCL match against Los Angeles last year, think again. There were nearly 48,000 people in the place for that game and the atmosphere was electric. The crowd will be decent this year, but much smaller. People are more discouraged than ever as well after last year. But having said that, it will still be a fun time.

Rob asks: With Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs having played in his 1,000th match this weekend, what is your favorite moment from his career?

Gerry Dobson: The one that sticks out in my mind was his goal in the FA Cup semi-final replay against Arsenal. Manchester United won the treble that year. Iconic moment for me.

Peter asks: What, if any, will be the consequences if Arsenal and manager Arsene Wenger do not make Champions League for the first time since 1997?

Gerry Dobson: I don’t think there will be any consequences. Wenger has been there long enough to establish himself in a position similar to that of Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford. In my opinion only Wenger will decide when it’s time to leave, and I don’t think he’s ready.
