Summer is a time for heading to the ballpark to watch your favourite MLB team, and while you’re there it’s also time to sample an ever-growing menu way beyond the traditional hot dog and beer. Depending which ballpark you visit this summer, there are culinary creations that have to be on any fan’s “must eat” list. Today’s stop on our tour of amazing, must-try foods at MLB parks is right here in Canada with the Toronto Blue Jays and the concessions at Rogers Centre.

New to the Rogers Centre this season are three menu items inspired by Blue Jays legend and Hall of Fame second baseman Roberto Alomar. The Blue Jays worked with Alomar to create signature dishes that reflect not only his tastes but tastes from home in Puerto Rico. After interviewing Alomar about what his favourite foods were, the Blue Jays’ Chef Birch created a salad, nachos and wrap inspired by the flavours.
