Former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett beat Roy Nelson in the UFC’s return to Japan over the weekend. Barnett earned a unanimous decision win over Nelson in a thrilling, five-round tilt. It was Barnett’s first fight in nearly two years and it was Nelson’s third straight loss, the fifth in his last six bouts.
In the co-main event, TUF 17 star Uriah Hall picked up the biggest win of his career as he stopped lauded veteran Gegard Mousasi with an incredible series of strikes.
On the preliminary card, Canadian Kajan Johnson picked up a unanimous decision win over Naoyuki Kotani.
