Sigh) Come on, man. No way. Why am I sound so confident that those guys won't win? Because Sportsnet has figured out who will win. Normally predicting a winner in golf is a tough-to-impossible task, but we're getting scientific. We took the pre-tournament rankings of the past 15 w PGA Championship winners and found the average was 35.4th place—meaning you don't need to be Top 10 to take the PGA. In fact, half of the past 15 winners were outside the Top 10 going in. The upshot is that Brandt Snedeker, sitting 35th in the rankings, is in the hot seat. So how reliable is what I'll liberally refer to as "Sportsnet's PGA perfection algorithm"? Well...Snedeker finished his first day two over and way off the pace. But, hey—it's early.

Predicting a PGA Champion

So, who’s gonna win the PGA Championship this year? Did I hear someone say “Rory?” Nope. Not him. “Mickelson”? Please. Did you just say “Tiger”?! (Sigh) Come on, man. No way.
