Raptors 2013-14 team stats: pre and post-Rudy

You probably don’t need to see a bunch of stats to know the Raptors were better after the deal that shipped Rudy Gay to Sacramento back in early December. You may not even need to see the most important stat, their winning percentage—.368 before the trade, .661 after it. But that doesn’t mean it’s not nice to have the option.

Below, infographic’d for your viewing pleasure, are the Raptors’ overall numbers before and after Dec. 8, the fateful day that saw Masai Ujiri turn an inefficient, possession-eating star into depth, chemistry and ball movement. Though the spike in offensive efficiency jumps out—best captured by the eight-rank rise in offensive rating—it’s worth noting that it came without a major slip on D. Heading into the playoffs the Raptors ranked in the league’s top 10 on both sides of the ball.

The Toronto Raptors are—for the first time in years—a truly dangerous club.
