Stroman lasts four innings in triple-A debut

Top Toronto Blue Jays pitching prospect Marcus Stroman struck out the side in his first inning at triple-A, but faltered in the second frame, allowing two runs. The right-hander’s first start with the Buffalo Bisons lasted four innings, as he allowed four hits and one walk while striking out four Rochester Red Wings.

Stroman, who spent the 2013 season at double-A, impressed the Blue Jays in spring training but was ultimately sent to refine his game at the minor league level. Guelph, ON native Scott Diamond started for Rochester in a game that was attended by some Blue Jays executives.
