BRIDGETOWN, Barbados -- Fast bowlers Tino Best and Fidel Edwards helped Barbados cruise into the semifinals of the Caribbean Twenty20 cricket tournament Wednesday with an eight-wicket win over Sussex.

Barbados' third straight victory was set up by the fierce bowling of Best (3-11) and Edwards (3-18), who helped limit Sussex to 89 all out off 18 overs at Kensington Oval.

Barbados coasted to 90-2 off 14.4 overs in reply with opener Kevin Stoute top scoring with an unbeaten 37.

Earlier, the Netherlands scored its first victory of the tournament by defeating Combined Campuses & Colleges by 26 runs in the other Zone B match.

The innings never recovered despite captain Michael Yardy's of 33 off 34 balls.

Edwards revved up the pace to finish off the innings with three wickets of his own.

Barbados' reply was given a rousing start by stand-in captain Dwayne Smith, who lashed two sixes in 18 off 12 balls.

After Smith was run out and Jonathan Carter fell cheaply, Stoute and Shane Dowrich (23) shared an unbroken stand of 52 off 49 balls to seal the victory.

The Netherlands' Michael Swart produced an excellent all-round effort to put a dent in the final four hopes of Combined Campuses & Colleges.

The Australian-born Swart anchored the Netherlands to 160-3 off 20 overs and claimed a wicket and two run outs to help restrict the Combined Campuses & Colleges to 134-7 off 20 overs.
