ISLAMABAD — Pakistan batsman Sohaib Maqsood has been ruled out of an upcoming one-day international series and Twenty20 match against Bangladesh due to a hand injury.
The Pakistan Cricket Board said Maqsood complained of pain in his left hand during a training session on Tuesday and doctors found a tiny fracture just above his wrist.
Uncapped right-handed batsman Saad Nasim has been as Maqsood’s replacement for the ODI series.
Pakistan is due to arrive in Bangladesh next Monday for three ODIs, a Twenty20 match and two test matches.
Maqsood was not named to the Pakistan squad for the two tests, starting April 28 in the city of Khulna and on May 6 in Mirpur.
