Canada scored twice in the first end before the Swiss countered with one in the second.

But Switzerland blew the game wide open with three in the third and fourth ends before adding four in the fifth for a commanding 11-2 advantage in a contest that went just seven ends in the sixth draw.

Switzerland improved to 2-0 and is tied with Hungary atop Group A while Canada fell to 1-1 after opening the competition with a 7-4 win over Italy.

The mixed doubles event is being staged jointly with the 2013 world senior championship.
