Heather Nedohin held off Chelsea Carey 6-3 during the B qualifier match at the Jiffy Lube Alberta Scotties Friday night in Lacombe, Alta.
Nedohin, a two-time Canadian Scotties champion, scored a deuce in the third and stole one in the fourth to go up 3-0. Carey settled for a point in five and stole singles in seven and eight to tie it up. Team Nedohin counted one in nine to reclaim the lead 4-3 and stole two in the 10th to ice the all-Edmonton rink game.
The win sends Nedohin into the page playoff A-vs-B game against defending champion Val Sweeting.

Carey fell to the C-side finals of the triple knockout tournament and will face Crystal Webster, who eliminated 2006 Olympic bronze medallist Shannon Kleibrink 8-3 in an all-Calgary team match.
Teryn Hamilton of Calgary and Casey Scheidegger of Lethbridge meet in the other C final. Hamilton edged Edmonton’s Nicky Kaufman 6-5 with a single in the final end while Scheidegger scored two in the 10th to tie and swiped a pair in the extra end to steal an 8-6 victory from Delia DeJong of Grande Prairie.
