Six-time provincial champ Kelly Scott cruised into the semifinal of the B.C. Scotties with a 9-1 rout over Kristy Lewis in the page playoffs C-vs-C game Saturday night in Maple Ridge, B.C.
Scott of Kelowna blanked the first and then scored points in five consecutive ends — including a steal of three in the fifth — to slide out to an 8-0 lead.
Lewis, from New Westminster, grabbed one in seven to get on the board but Scott added another single in eight and the two rinks shook hands.

Scott will face Victoria’s Sarah Wark, who fell to Patti Knezevic of Prince George 8-3 in the A-vs-B game.
Knezevic scored a five-ender in the fourth to open the scoring. Wark got a deuce in five and Knezevic padded her lead with a point in six followed by a steal of two in seven. Knezevic, who is undefeated at 4-0 in the tournament, held Wark to one point in the eighth and the teams shook hands.
There will be a new B.C. champion this year after Scott eliminated defending winner Kesa Van Osch 9-7 in the C qualifier match earlier Saturday.
