Held annually since the 2001, the Grand Slam of Curling is an elite series of men’s and women’s events which feature the best teams from across Canada and around the world. Comprised of a series of four major bonspiels on the annual World Curling Tour, the Grand Slam of Curling’s events are considered among the most difficult and competitive curling competitions in the world.

Unique to the series, the Grand Slam games are played in eight ends instead of the standard 10 ends seen in other major tournaments. The Grand Slams offer the most amount of money out of all the bonspiels in the curling season with $100,000 per event

The Grand Slam Series is also closely tied to the Canadian Curling Association’s qualifying process for the Olympic Winter Games. Through their performance in the Grand Slam Series events, teams can earn a significant amount of points towards securing a berth at the Canadian Olympic Trials.

The 2012-13 Grand Slam of Curling series kicks off with The Masters, taking place in Brantford, ON from November 15 to 19. Details regarding the full 2012-13 Grand Slam of Curling schedule will be announced at a later date.

Winners from the past seasons include such well known Canadian curlers as Mike McEwen, Jennifer Jones, Kevin Martin, Stephanie Lawton, and Glenn Howard.
