As first reported by Sportsnet’s Nick Kypreos, the Montreal Canadiens are now allowed to buy out centre Scott Gomez this season, thereby making him an unrestricted free agent. Do Vancouver Canucks fans think Gomez would be a good option at centre at a reduced salary given Ryan Kesler’s injury woes?

If Gomez is available at a bargain basement price, would you as a Canucks fan like to see general manager Mike Gillis sign Scott Gomez for the 2012-13 season?
